Breyer Gets Lovey Dovey

After my nationwide media blitz in the MSM and blogoverse, proposing eminent domaining Breyers rural NH McKingdom as a logical extension of Kelo v New London, Breyer has had a PR agent putting out puff pieces in the local media, portraying "Stephen" and his british aristocrat wife as "affable" and "just folks". At the same time, the U.S. Marshals Service has deployed guards to the properties of both Justices Souter and Breyer. That the Marshals are only supposed to protect the Justices, NOT their property, apparently is immaterial in these PATRIOTic times.

I've thus released a second salvo at Free Market News Network, which has made me their Free State Correspondent. Read on, enjoy...

"Democrats Everywhere"

It is apparent that the Democratic Party has a self-image problem, based on the comments of Howard Dean:

The key to success is making those Democrats proud of their party, Dean said, by taking the offensive and fighting on Democratic turf.

"We need a message. It has to be clear," he said. "The framing of the debate determines who wins the debate.

"Running away from issues is how you lose elections," said Dean, a former Vermont governor.

"We need to position ourselves as the party of change," he said. "I think we have learned that when big changes happen in the House and Senate, they happen because one party nationalizes the race and becomes the change agent."

It just isn't the Democrats that do this. Though they do run away from issues, like the war, like gun control, like civil liberties. It appears the DNC is jumping the shark... lets see what Dean does next, it may be on the order of his famous screech.

More Rational Libertarians on War

Eric S Raymond has written an excellent bit on the realities of living libertarian in a world of crazy warring theocratic statists.
