BlogMad.com Ranks IntLib Highly
As evidence of our market penetration, blog indexer Blogmad.com ranked IntLib 42nd for referral traffic in September, and is currently ranking 24th so far in October (this may change as traffic varies).
We've certainly been trying. Unfortunately, some indexers don't seem to be working too well these days. Blog index icon Technorati seems to be broken. They haven't responded to multiple ping requests of ours for 5 days, and their site is now displaying in some sort of cellphone browser format. Multiple emails have not been responded to. This non-pingability seems restricted to IntLib alone, as our sister blog, Constitution Park, was pinged successfully the other day.
Blog "ecosystem" site The Truth Laid Bear seems to have problems keeping accurate daily traffic counts, and grossly undercounts links to blogs (where Technorati sees 51 links from 28 blogs as of last week, TTLB only sees 11 blogs linking to us).
And what is with ranking by crosslinks? Having links doesn't create traffic, as we've proven: over 41,000 hits last month while being misunderestimated by the major blogger community. We generate 99.9% of our traffic from two places: digg and reddit. Links don't indicate popularity, it only indicates how many other bloggers asses you've kissed. We've posted links to lots of blogs, and those reciprocating have been few and far between.
We're interested in hearing of our readers experiences with various blog indexes.
